This page explains what happens to information about you when you read Charity Truth.

What this site collects

Nothing directly. Charity Truth is a set of static files. There is no account to create, no comment form, no newsletter sign-up and no advertising network. We do not set cookies, and we run no analytics script that identifies you.

What our host records

The site is served by Netlify, which keeps ordinary web server logs — the page requested, the time, a truncated IP address and the browser's user-agent string — for a limited period, in order to serve the site and defend it from abuse. We do not connect those records to any individual and we do not use them for marketing.

Embedded video

One page on this site embeds a video. It is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set tracking cookies until you press play. If you never play it, YouTube records nothing about you beyond the request for the player itself.

Links to other sites

We link out to charities, regulators and watchdogs so you can check what we say. Those sites have their own privacy practices and this policy does not cover them.
